McLean County Strategic Land Use Plan

The McLean County Regional Planning Commission (MCRPC) has announced the second draft of the McLean County Strategic Land Use Plan. This version incorporates public feedback while maintaining the plan’s focus on the balance of rural and urban land use planning.
The public is encouraged to review the second draft of the plan and submit a public comment form no later than October 22, 2025. A copy of the plan and public comment forms are available for review at the Bellflower Community Library as well as the MCRPC office. Additionally, two open house events have been scheduled: 1) Village of Downs Community Fire Department, October 14th from 5 pm – 7 pm; 2) Heartland Community College, October 16th from 5 pm – 7 pm. All feedback received will help form the final document, which is anticipated for completion by MCRPC by the end of October 2025.
